Frequent travellers to Bangkok would know all about how to use the public transport and the etiquette involved. But for first timers, this is a very informative video. Good job Arsen!

Just an advise on purchasing the permanent Rabbit or MRT cards. Try NOT to get it from a station that is a busy one like Asok BTS or Sukumvit MRT. The queues to get these cards will be long. Go to those that are less frequented.

You nailed it again! I tell friends how clean and efficient Bangkok's mass transit is. People are polite and respectful. And as a tourist, a visitor to their country, I am always on my best behavior. I want them to know that not all tourists are obnoxious. And, yes, I met a lot of foreigners in Thailand that were out of control.

you actually can use paper banknote to purchase ticket via the machine
just the largest banknote accepted is 100 baht, and also the change will be in coins
