I have an HP elitebook 840 G6 It has a fingerprint reader but it says "we couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with windows hello fingerprint". I did my best to try fix it but it still wouldn't work after months. Is there any way to fix this?

I am using HP PROBOOK 450 15.6 Inch G9 Notebook Laptop.

I have configured finger print while logging in my account after joining Microsoft Entra ID. Finger Print was successfully setup but when I switch on laptop, I can see only two options to sign in i.e., PIN and Password.

What step should I take so that windows display option to scan finger besides asking for password and PIN?

I have an HP touch laptop and it has a fingerprint set up under Device Manager but doesn't have the fingerprint sensor on my keyboard. Does that mean my computer doesn't offer it? Because it is a touch I would assume that is not the case. Unless there is another way to activitate the fingerprint pad?

What happens when it is not listed in device manager.

Download the driver and install but can’t be found in the device manager.

Any tip on how to enable or check the bios for that ?
