I think they would be on par, they have very similiar feats like dodging animal attacks and fighting while wounded by a cannonball

There is even more evidence that Haythem let Connor win during the fight at the end. Haythem had Connor pin to the ground and prevented Connor from using the hidden blade, but for some reason, let the arm go. Haythem used to be an assassin and knew their tricks, as well as having his own blade. So why would he let go of Connor's arm if not to let Connor win?
