You've Never Seen Tesla's FSD Manage This Before!

In one of the most interesting FSD drives I've ever had, see how my Tesla reacts to a STOP sign on wheels, while also expertly dodging pedestrians and traffic. This is a real stress test.

0:20 Slows for speed bump
1:00 Narrow road/construction
1:27 Great passing move
2:04 Speeding
3:14 Homeless man
4:45 Pedestrian adjustment

I would not like to drive in Montreal without FDS anymore. I am the owner of a Tesla M3 AWD 2024 with FSD and previously I had a Tesla M3 AWD 2020 with FSD. It is so much relaxing driving with FSD in big cities. I use it 95-98% of the time! By the way, good video, your comments are very good.

Nice and clear - thanks for sharing. I’m a UK based TSLA investor so seeing this is great for me, as we don’t have FSD here yet. Great that there’s no background music too!

Ha your interior looks exactly like my car, but as a European I don't get to have FSD yet. This feels like a glimp in the future for me 😄 thx for that! FSD looks very promising!

Clear video and explanation. We in the UK as of Nov 24 are still 2 years away from full FSD and what we have currently available is not particularly good eg in slow moving heavy traffic there is a 2 to 3 car gap before it sets off when the traffic moves, then it accelerates and breaks making the ride very jerky and nauseous for passengers. Let’s hope we get some of the good stuff your enjoying sooner rather than later.

I'am very picky about who I subscribe to but your video was will put together and shows off how well FSD is current. Very informative and in Canada no less. Great Job Thx for putting the time in with all the editing.

In regards to the stop sign on the truck. Here in the states, School buses have stop signs that are presented when the bus is about to let off children. It is the law here that you must stop for them. I think it is reacting to that circumstance. It just doesn't know what A school bus looks like. It is being confused. I'm sure that will be corrected in time. Just my observation. 🙂

The FSD is good in this version. But still have some minor problems, especially the right turn at red light, it didn’t get the rules in Montreal downtown and outside downtown. And sometimes it gets confused with the left turn signal, don’t know what to do at different circumstances, like blink green light or independent left turn signal or just green signal. And in the living community, sometimes it won’t turn to the right side land to make a right turn. But overall, it is good.

Wow, glad I found your channel. Really well done! Informative, no crazy music. I am jealous of FSD 😅 Greetings from a new subscriber from Germany ❤

How do you feel FSD does obeying the laws of Canadian driving? Honestly one of my main concerns would be that it follows US laws without regard for region. Overall great video, very nicely edited.

China is the best place to train AI FSD and the Chinese got ahead because of that, Elon Musk realised that and want to train his Tesla there. Tesla FSD don't use GPS but Chinese BeiDou satellite navigation system which is more accurate. GPS receiver module can receive BeiDou signal, even international aviation switch to Beidou.

That man lying in the street. I figured you'd stop and steal his shoes. Didn't expect you to call 911.

As that truck should get a ticket for that stop sign

Impressive HW3 performance...❤
v12.5.4.1 yes/no?

I have a feeling that the stop sign handling is a little bit of remaining hardcoding as opposed to a neutral net. I could be wrong though.

I have never seen a moving STOP sign on a vehicle in California. But, I have noted signs not seen or misidentified . Once, on the Interstate, I noticed my FSD 12.5.4.1 HW3 car surging to high speed. I glanced over to see that the Speed Limit sign had been misidentified as 85 mph (normally 65). Also, on the Interstate I’ve been traveling in the HOV lane, and FSD would consistently not see a 55 mph speed sign. The Interstate is very wide there, and the speed limit sign is 5 lanes over to the right. It’s at a normal height, but quite distant, and thus appears smaller than normal.

Interesting video captures of FSD 12.5.4.1 in action (version I'm using on AI3), and I recognize and have experienced all the FSD behavior your video captures. Amazing, right? But I live in mountainous rural northern New England, with incredibly challenging roads, storm-damaged construction zones, and weird road forks and merger situations, meaning there remains a LOT of continuously emergent edge cases. For example: narrow, steep(!), sharp(!), blind corners and round-overs on our mountain dirt roads still presents FSD edge cases. Examples include varying road surfaces (ever-shifting potholes, driving surfaces ranging from freshly graded and gravelled (tricky, like driving on marbles), up to smooth-packed dirt which becomes super slippery in rain; throw-in road-construction traffic control, winter conditions, occasional traffic and FSD continues learning. Speed control is mostly good, but not always perfect, in some tricky and dangerous road corners. Regardless, I see it learning day-by-day and week-by-week, handling new situations smoothly and competently. What were once (i.e. 6 months ago) FSD-undrivable circumstances are now routine. Viewed in context, this progress is simply astounding.

How does it detect the speed bumps, that was smooth

Incorrect info in description. "FSDBeta 12.5.4.1 SW: 2024.32.10" FSD is no longer in beta release and is now public. Please fix your description.

I hope Tesla is "mining" your stop sign situation to train its neural net with it. They are very interested in exactly such weird situations as with the stop sign on the truck.

It is super impressive from a tech pov but you need to monitor it all the time. Isn’t it more fun to drive yourself than boringly monitor what a machine does? I assume that no Tesla driver use this without actively monitoring it?
