The percent is 2 zeros because % means out of 100 which has 2 zeros, so that leaves you 42x2 which is 84 and you still have two more zeros so 8400. I’ve always been somewhat good at math 😅

I do it more easily. I take off oll the zero and the percentage ro do an easy calculation 4.2×2=8.4 then I put the three zero back in place by multiplying by 1000 and bob's your uncle! 8, 4×1000= 8400
