I got mine from a company and was told by them it is only locked for their sim card only... so i was not too sure to risk adding another company sim card to gt my cell locked. 🥴😅 mine is OPEN!🥰

Got a note 10+ from my dad who said it's unlocked but checked with T-Mobile and two other carriers with IMEI number and they all said it wasn't compatible. Don't see network connection in the settings either. Runs very slow on WiFi despite 60 GB of storage available too.

With E Sims now a thing would option 1 just be the way to go or has something been updated with Samsung's? I typically buy iPhone because the Sim Lock Status always shows on the phone but Samsung's are different. Thanks man.

It doesnt matter if it is locked or not if i am just using it like an ipod touch back in 2012, no calls no texting just wifi and being able to connect to a verizon hotspot through my personal phone, right?

wow thanks. I was able to connect my Samsung unlocked devise to T-Mobile, even after being told by T-Mobile that the phone was not compatible, by using method 1.

Interesting. My "Connections" menu doesn't even have a "Mobile Networks" option. Even with my old SIM card in it - the phone keeps saying its invalid. I wonder if the phone really is locked still.

What is there's NO "mobile networks" option to choose AT ALL. Like it's not part of the menu? Could that mean that it's factory unlocked?

EDIT: My phone arrived a week early!!! I will be using these methods now and let you know which worked for me!

Following your directions under network operators, I only have 2 boxes, let the phone select automatically or 2 select manually? Under the manual select, it shows home and roams. what does this mean? I have this model SMS506DL . thanks for any help
