This an example of earning a horse’s trust outside the common methods. I see that is great! I once earned the trust of a horse by persuasion of food, while on horse back. He trusted his human and didn’t let anyone else ride him, but I won him over.

This horse really needed attention and love that he was neglect from his last three. At first he gave up; now, he has hope and love with this woman. Awesome 🤩
