PORSCHE SPYDER RS // THE ULTIMATE THRILL // REVIEW

No words needed or maybe just so many words needed, to describe the new Porsche 718 Spyder RS. 9000 rpm-tune from the 4-litre flat six cylinder boxer engine that is derived from the racing series, makes life rather pleasent. And also very loud. And in an open car the feeling is just complete and this is exactly where you want to be. At least me. Racing car handling for the B-roads and for the race track is what the Spyder RS serves the driver. But how does it get along to live with from day to day and will the manually operated soft top make you loose your mind?

I own one of these and FINALLY a reviewer who gets it (although even Doug Demuro and the Carwow boy admit this is probably the best current Porsche available in their reviews).

Thank you for not spending 8 minutes overdramatizing how bad the roof is — because it’s actually pretty easy once you use it.

This car is 100x more fun than the 992 I owned before it.

The first test where the tester knows what the car is for, other tests cannot be watched. This is how you have to drive these cars.

One of the craziest drop top spots cars of all time. Good review!

Superb car and the last-ever mid-engined ICE Porsche road car.

This car surpassed my expectations. That downshift in PDK Sport is reminiscent of the Cayman racecar

Sublime car. Top of the tops.
It takes a lot of courage to wheel spin in those rocks 13:43 😂😅

Such an amazing car! Funny though that it’s a “road” car, yet has centerlocks. They’re just cool, I suppose. 😊

I cheer for PDK but if the MT can cope with 500 ps in the GT3, why can't it in the Spyder RS?!
