This is the new 2024 Porsche 718 Spyder RS and it is basically a convertible version of the Cayman GT4 RS. The Spyder RS is better suited for road use than the GT4 RS and therefore has a more comfortable ride quality, but it's still crazy and an absolute performer. Today I'm reviewing this new Porsche 718 Spyder RS and I'll show you the many quirks and features. I'm also going to get behind the wheel and show you what it's like to drive.

I have one (since last year) so I should know 🧐: The weissach package does NOT save any weight (the front hood is made from carbon fiber anyway, with the weissach package you can see it from the outside, without weissach it is in car color)... only the magnesium wheels do save weight... (I do not have)... I also owned a 981 spyder and the roof of the RS is really terrible (even in comparison) but necessary since the air intakes take most of the room the top would go... it takes about 2 minutes to open or close if you are on your own and have experience with it. To get back to Doug: The driving experience is insane (!)... Never had such a great ride... so go get one if you can find one...

I think it's funny how both trunks have an emergency escape handle, but the actual doors only get a strap 😂
