Devo doing Satisfaction always blows my mind- so unique. There's a band from the 70's in Canada called Streetheart that did a killer version of Under My Thumb, maybe my second favourite Stones cover. Ace Frehley doing 2000 Man with KISS was cool also.

Otis! Yes! He rocked the soul out of Satisfaction! Thanks Keith!

I love the film clip of Otis singing Satisfaction. He's got so much energy the camera can't keep up with him. What a performer! Add to that he wrote two of the very best songs of the rock era in Dock of the Bay and Respect. What a loss!

I worked for a mechanic decades ago and he had a red VW in his yard that he wanted to paint black, so he sang "I see a red car and I wanted it painted black" - that was the best cover of thaat song that I ever heard.

I also do a fair version of "Angie"

You could put together many hours of video of Keith talking about and paying tribute to, fellow musicians whom he has outlived. He will always say, "oops there's another one" and,
"...what am I doing here?"

Motörhead’s cover of Sympathy For The Devil is extraordinarily good, really quite epic!

Bryan Ferry does a powerful rendition of Sympathy For The Devil. Recorded back in 1973 for The Hard Rain Is Gonna Fall album. Quite the epic version!

For me, Melanie’s version of Ruby Tuesday always leaves me in awe.

Before They Make Me Run has a lot of meaning to me & towards Keith. Decision to kick the habit and Live Up to your life's potential. Can't survive being a junkie. That was the start of realizing how poor decisions effect families, the band, and everyone else including the fans. Worth it, wasn't it? Makes me HAPPY to see your smiling face. Better than the 70s backstage nod outs. "Wasn't looking too good but I was feeling real well". That song is my favorite because it is about surviving in a drug infested world. Many of us know what that can be like. The wake up call and why we are still here and not 6 ft under.

The amazing story about Satisfaction is that Keith claims to have actually dreamed the song.
He had a very early Philips cassette recorder that he kept by his bed and he actually used to sleep with his guitar... really...
He woke one morning and the tape was at it's end so he rewound it to see what was on it and listened to himself playing the hook and singing the coda to Satisfaction for about two minutes and then 28 minutes of him loudly snoring.
The rest, as they say, is Rock and Roll history.

Satisfaction had that bite that set it off, even on 📻 AM radio.
