A reporter once asked Keith how much he practiced each day and he said…”Practice? What for? I’m already in The Rolling Stones”.

He captured me in the 60's with Satisfaction, and has held my attention ever since. Fan forever.

The Beatles were quite good.
But the Rolling Stones are the greatest rock'n roll band of all times. And Keith Richards is the greatest rock'n roller of all times. Simply the best.

My all time favorite best of the Stones is Midnight Rambler. The harmonica and guitar blend so well into eachother. Just amazing.!

Dont forget "It's all over now". When I heard this on Radio Luxemburg 1964, I died a little! That riff went through my whole body!

This list just scratches the surface as far as great Keith Richards guitar riffs. There are so many. Also, his acoustic guitar work has always been way underrated. He’s not the most technically proficient guitarist around, but nobody has done more with the skills that they have.

I became a fan of the Rolling Stones in 1964 when I heard on the radio It's all over now, which had a real blues atmosphere! I was really blown away when I heard Love in vain, especcially the intro of Keith. But even more blown away I went when I heard Love in vain played by Mick Taylor. On youtube there is a video of a life concert in Texas (1972) where you can hear this fantastic guitar playing of Mick Taylor!

We need to start thinking about what kind of world we’re going to leave for Keith Richards

Few people know that it was actually Mick Jagger who composed the Brown Sugar riff. I was shocked when I heard Keith admit this. Keith said that all he did was some arranging and putting it all together.

Good to see Time Is On My Side at #1. I don't play or sing any Rolling Stones songs, but the intro to Time Is On My Side is my warm up whenever I play. It's one of those things that I can't get out of my head.

My favorite riff is worried about you. His playing in that song has kept me hooked for 40 years. He is just amazing.

By and large, if there were no Richards, there would be no Rolling Stones. He made this band.Keith was the one who put this band together. Mick was a crook and a hunk, and Keith was a plowman with a guitar plow. I love them all very much: and Rony Wood, Watts, who left before anyone else. Hang on, guys, we need you, for now, we're alive...😮😢

Some of my favorite Stones riffs to play on guitar: “The Citadel, ” “Rip This Joint, ” “Dance Little Sister, ” “All Down the Line, ” “Monkey Man, ” “Luxury, ” “Miss Amanda Jones, ” “When the Whip Comes Down” (Live version from Detroit, 1978), “Hand of Fate, ” and some lesser stuff like “Wanna Hold You” and “I'm Going Down.” I also like playing that one unreleased track “Never Too Into.”

The two almost never mentioned points about Keith is that he has been blissfully married to a devoted Christian women for many years and what captures my view is how graceful Keith is as he plays.
