How in the hell is being radar certified a requirement for graduation, I was in for 6 years before I got radar certified. And there is no way we took a required class without an instructor proctoring the exam. If you cheat, you are immediately dismissed.

Having a live instructor or proctor administer the test will not fix the problem. The problem is finding people with honor. And good luck with that in todays world. Sad but true😕

Now going to have a live instructor in the room to monitor the test. Walk into any police department that has an area for officers to change their clothes and every locker will have a lock on it. Just think about that for a moment. Where I live a city cop was observed by an EMT taking the cash out of the wallet of a deceased traffic accident victim and placing the cash into his uniform pants pocket just moments after the body was loaded into the ambulance. Cheating on a speed detection test - too funny.

This is just sad. I don't understand why anyone with half a brain would think letting students take tests online at home is a good idea - for any age student, in any profession. Especially not those going into careers involving public safety! What's next? Wait... on second thought, I don't want to know.
There seems to be a proliferation of people who want the job, but are not willing to put in the work. Also, to be told the cheaters will be able to join another location's police force? Ooooh, I know I'd feel safer already! This is a slap in the face to the law enforcement officers who, every day, strive to be the best they can be.
Once a cheater, always a cheater. To excuse a cheater who is too lazy to study and then let him/her strap on a weapon is insane.

All of them were only employed for speeding control, and they need to cheat to get a pass. Their boss stated that the majority of the work they do is speeding control. Is there any police that actual stop or look in to crime or is it just motoring side of things?

It appears the academy’s laziness to rely on the honor system (honor which most cops don’t have anyways) kind of just set them up to cheat. But good it makes both the academy and ex-cop (soon to be mall security guards) look horrible.
