Georgia State Patrol troopers are getting new cars

You'll soon see troopers patrolling the interstate in 2022 Chevy Camaros.

I remember back in the the 80s and early 90s State patrols in all 50 states had 5.0 Fox body mustangs and IROC Z28 law enforcement edition. Those ran hotter than civilian sports cars back in the day.

The cars as a recruiting tool is nothing compared to $33, 800.00 what the Ga state patrol makes a year that's below poverty.

In the 70's there were a few senior Florida Troopers that got a confiscated Corvette for a patrol car to ride 95 for hot rod drivers misbehaving. A 2023' ZL1 is 66+ grand, how does a Podunk department afford them?
