Finally found a video that explains how to use the Nesco digital canner. I only have water in jars as I am breaking mine in. I unplugged it but move to exhaust. I am sure glad I didn't have my shredded chicken in there, but I will wait when I get it in there later this evening. Thank you for explaining this all better than many video's I have watched the last few days.

It’s time canner here. Misplaced instruction manual so found your video. I won’t lie, I am a bit scared. But your tutorial was easy to understand and follow. Waiting for the countdown to begin. Hope o did everything right up until this point.

Tried again today. My Nesco goes straight to count down after 25 minutes. I turned immediately to air tight. It never beeped. Never saw the E count down. Do I stop the canning of my sausage and can in my I-pot Max??

I never got the E10.. it went straight to the time. I did it twice same thing so I switched to airtight. It still releasing a little.

I did pints with pinto beans.. partially cooked beans prior to start canning.


I am used to the 10 minute middle step.

Do you know if you can leave the jars in the Nesco pressure canner overnight and then take them out in the morning? I canned meat really late last night so I didn't want to stay up for the extra hour to take them out, so when it was done canning and said off, I unplugged it and went to bed. But I took them out this morning only one sealed out of 4 quarts. Another one sealed a few minutes after I took it out but I don't know if that would be good to put on the shelf since it didn't seal all night.?? I'm guessing because the Nesco stayed pretty warm/hot all night. My stove top canner would have been completely cooled when I got up. Do you know if it's recommended to not do something like that??

My only wuestion of confusion is once the canner is processing for the time set, & the regulator us turned to airtight, is the regulator still suppose to be letting steam out?
