How to Clean a Menstrual Cup in a Public Bathroom

Out in public and you need to empty your cup? Here are a couple tips!
-Try emptying your cup before you leave the house. Remember you can wear your cup up to 12 hours!
-Bring a water bottle or peri bottle with you in the stall to rinse off your cup before reinserting.
-No water bottle? No problem! Bring a wet paper towel in with you to gentle clean off before reinserting your cup.

I much prefer using water to rinse my cup instead of wiping with paper of any kind and re-inserting because it always ends up having lint/dust from the paper stuck to it, and that ends up inside you afterwards (not to mention it's harder to insert when dry). I usually just wash it in the public sink when I have to change in public, it's surprisingly not that big a deal and nobody really looks at your hands when you're at the sink. Good luck folks! :)

Another strategy would be to carry a second or third cup if you have no access to water or a private stall and sink. Just wipe the one you have as best you can and clean it later. Take out the clean back up cup and use that.

You also don't have to rinse it at all. Just dump and put it back in. Just keep in mind that blood is slippery

Hello, this video (and maybe others too, idk haven't watched the others) should be updated to be more inclusive. These are tips on using a menstrual cup in a public bathroom, while a women's bathroom sign is shown. Not everyone that has periods identifies as a woman. Perhaps you can show an all gender restroom sign instead.
