Hurricane Milton To Impact Jacksonville Wednesday Evening
Показать описание
City stakeholders met today to discuss the potential impacts of Hurricane Milton to Florida's First Coast.
JSO's Director of Patrol, Joe Cowen, joined Mayor Donna Deegan and other local officials to offer information and guidance to our community.
According to the NWS - Jax, Jacksonville should begin to feel the biggest impacts in the evening hours of Wednesday and last for up to 24 hours.
At it's peak, our area should expect hurricane force winds, substantial rains and thunder storms, and flooding in low lying areas.
Citizens are encouraged to be prepared early, stock up supplies and make arrangements for family and pets. Ensure your yards are free from debris that may become projectiles during high winds. And vacate homes to higher ground if citizens feel the need.
As the storm continues to approach our area, we will continue to provide further information to the community.
