Thank you, Polo, for sharing this information. I agree with you that there are books written that have been removed from scriptures for whatever reason. If you carefully read the Bible, there are many mentions of different books of the Bible. It specifically says "you can find this in the book of..." Bless you for stepping into the light to share this. I have often thought about reading the book of Enoch. I would like to see for myself what it says. After all, Enoch "walked with God". Can't get closer than that to truth.

The Catholic Church took it out of the canon

Thank you for this, Polo. Interesting fact, the Book of Jude, which IS in the Bible, directly quotes The Book of Enoch. So, it had to be of some relevance, For Jude to quote it.

Please, please Polo, I'm growing to really love this channel. Don't go down this rabbit hole for your sanity's sake, there's only ever one thing at the bottom of it.

I have been reading the Bible off and on for about 30+ years. I was raised Catholic and at a very young age realized very little time was spent reading from this huge book of what was supposed to be God’s word. I asked questions and was told I was not supposed to understand everything written in this book and faith alone was enough. Huh? Who writes a book you don’t have to read? Made no sense to me. I tried reading it by myself but unless you have a good grasp of Aramaic, Greek and Hebrew it is near impossible to understand. Someone finally turned me on to The Shepherd’s Chapel where the pastor starts from Genesis and goes all the way thru Revelation reading every verse and explaining it. I was beyond skeptical when I began but after awhile things started to make sense to me and I have never looked back. I am not saying any of this to promote The Shepherd’s Chapel. Just thought I would toss it out there because some of what was spoken about in the book of Enoch is in the Bible. It is fascinating to me. Not trying to offend the atheists!!

Enoch is truly terrifying to read and explains tons of questions about how humans became enlightened

I have an Apocrypha and the Book of Enoch is included. If you have any interest in the Bible this is a fascinating read! I find something new in it nearly every time I read it. Nothing contradicts what the Bible teaches it just sort of fills in the blanks.

they found the lost first page of the bible..it reads:

This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, business, events and incidents are the products of the author’s imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.

The book of Enoch was dismissed as uninspired by God by the early church because it pushed doctrines by a group called the gnostics. This group was centered in Alexandria and spread from there. The apostle John specifically wrote 1 John to counter gnostic heretical doctrine. So was Paul’s letter to the Colossians.

Edited to add: the gospel of Thomas is another gnostic book. There were no full copies that were in common circulation in the churches after the 4th century until a full copy was found when an entire gnostic library was discovered in Egypt and an archaeological dig extracted it, along with other writings.

Look up the Gospel of Thomas that was not included in the Bible.

Over 600 books of the Bible were 'censored' by the Catholic Church at the First Council of Nicaea (now Iznik, Turkey) in 325 AD. Some of the books survived, and are incorporated into modern Bibles as The Apocrypha, and appear between the Old and New Testaments. The church threw out any book that did not illuminate Jesus as a divine being. One book was destroyed completely as it detailed Jesus beating a man to death, but copies survive in Ethiopia.

I recommend Josheph Campbell's story 'The power of Myth'. You can watch that in increments, and get a ton of religious history.

If we're told to look at him as a Saint that was brought to Heaven alive, then why should we not believe what he said? Wow, thanks for that one, Polo!

There are other ancient texts that predate the Bible that it is based on. The Sumerian Eridu Genesis, the Babylonian Enuma elish, and the Akkadian Atra hasis. The Eridu Genesis contains the Epic of Gilgamesh, which has a flood story almost identical to Noah’s, but predates it by millennia. The Sumerian Tablets weren’t discovered until the 1840’s in the ancient Mesopotamian city of Uruk in modern day Iraq. Gilgamesh was a half human half god King of that city state and stood 17 feet tall. His father was human and his mother was an Annunaki goddess, his father preceded him as King of Uruk.
Genesis in the Old Testament is a mythology of the creation of the Hebrew Nation and according to scholars is mistranslated from the original Hebrew, starting with the very first verse.

It is very wise to remember the Victor writes history. The reason for the battle always gets spun to have the Victor portrayed in the best light.

There is a podcast called Lord of Spirits that is hosted by two Orthodox Christian Priests, they explain some background of the books of Enoch (there are actually 3), they ho back and really explain stuff. Start from the first episode and go on from there. The first three or four episodes have glitches but persevere and they get new studio equipment.

In the first century they used vellum instead of papyrus. Vellum is very thin sheep skin that acts like paper, papyrus is paper made from reeds. They used vellum for scrolls that were rolled on wood dowels. It was how it was done back then.

There are "missing holes" in the bible because it's a botched patchwork of the older Sumerian stories that the Hebrews plagiarized, and altered to be about one deity rather than the many "mighty ones" in the original story. The original stories aren't convoluted, and are easy to understand whereas the bible is the opposite. It's because the Hebrews stole those stories, and attempted to change them while still keeping it congruent, but failed. That's why there's so many holes and contradictions. It's a lie.
