2024 matric results | DBE investigates results 'leak'

Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube says it's systems may have been breached. She says the department will investigate the apparent leaking of the 2024 matric results. It follows reports the results were being sold online for R100. The class of 2024 results will be released tonight. #dstv403

The fact results now come this absurdly late is a breach. Results should be before jan or after on 2nd jan.

You are NOT allowed to fail a student no matter if he/she has 0% more than once from grade 8 to grade 10 and the same for grade 11 to grade 12. This means a student may not be failed more than twice in his/her entire high school career. If the child fails, you are forced by the department of education to put the child through, no matter if the child has 0%.
You teachers will know what I am talking about. You could put a literal brick in school and it will get to matric.

They also employ a tactic called paper coaching, the children and teachers are forced to be at the school from early morning till very late at night memorizing old exam papers. The children are drilled to remember the format of the question asked, NOT to understand the question but just to remember the answer without understanding it.
So its like remembering a sequence of numbers without being able to count.
Once again you teachers will know what I am talking about.

What is so special about a 30% pass rate? Low curriculum Live Orientation etc. You live in a dream world because business cannot employ people with such a low mark. Government is the reason for failing our young people. Only in Africa
