This video covers an introduction to angular displacement and velocity, the first on a series on rotational mechanics. I also cover why the radian is used as the SI unit for angles

360 degrees, the 60 second min, and the 60 min hour are based on how ancient Sumerians counted using their fingers over 6000 years ago. Each finger has 3 bones so a single hand containing 4 fingers(not thumb) had 12 nodes that could be pointed to using the thumb. On the other hand you have 5 digits(including thumb) that could be used to tally each set of 12 that you reached. With 2 hands you could count 5 sets of 12 all the way up to 60. Everything was BASE 60 in their calculations.

Despite being 4 years old video, I get much information than I thought.
Thanks ❤

thank you very much. I am currently programming a game that uses physics and I needed to thoroughly understand angular velocity and its relation to linear velocity in order to make it work properly. Your video delivered clearly in a way my highschool education never did, thank you so much <3.

Finally this video make me clear about the concept of radian 😌

This is the best explanation of angular velocity that I have found on the internet. The direction in z in particular is what has thrown me off, at this stage I just don't see the point of using the inwards our outwards z except for saying whether it's turning clockwise or counterclockwise. As well as satisfying the definition of velocity which is that it has a direction. But it isn't actually moving in that direction, it's more the case of using a direction for the purpose of observation.

right-hand/thumb rule means that in jutsu: rotation with right arm down and rotation with left arm up is same, and vice versa; meaning that each arm/leg has opposite direction=the same motion

Why is the the direction angular velocity defined the way it is?
Can you show that such a quantity really exists in that direction?

aAgular velocity is very similar to the motion of an object except that angular velocity doesn't take the inertia or mass into account, I'm I right?.
