Having a teacher teach you visually like this can change a person's perception of science. I wish I had more teachers like this when I was in school.

A true teacher, he had every set of eyes and ears glued to him. Kids will learn anything as long as you find a way to make it interesting.

So the initial angular momentum is the radius of the wheel times its mass times its speed. By flipping it over, the angular momentum of the wheel is reversed and negative, because the speed is now going the other way. For the total angular momentum (him and the wheel) to be preserved, he has to start spinning with a certain angular momentum, that when added to the reversed one of the wheel, sums to the original angular momentum before he flipped it. I hope that made sense

I appreciate that he speaks slowly and clearly, and mentions a technicality that isn’t relevant in the unit, but if students are so inclined, they could learn this topic in greater depth

I was lucky enough to have a physics teacher like this in highschool, it set me forward on a love for math and sciences through college.
