Switzerland may soon get its first suicide pod "Sarco". The suicide pod is meant to assist suicides at $20. The futuristic-looking contraption has been dubbed "Tesla of euthanasia". I am currently a fulltime caregiver for my 90 yo mother with Alzheimer's. I have watched her suffer in ways that PETA would protest. There is no beauty or grace in what I see on a daily basis but only pain, despair and suffering. I applaud this option and if I received a diagnosis of dementia, having watched the slow loss of humanity that comes with the disease, I would start planning my visit to Switzerland immediately.
