Batu Caves is a truly magical place for many; local community, devotees and also travelers. I saw the your feeling after reaching the top, many have that kind of overwhelming feeling for various reasons.
I have heard many who climb the stairs during Thaipusam and other times, offering prayers, planned, unplanned or by coincidence, hoping for some things to come true, miracles, or for no reason, etc. Some would say, they have had experienced some miracles, mental and physical health well-being.
Maybe, it was a moment that you have experienced just that or a place you meant to be there, at that time?
I always felt peaceful everytime going to Batu Caves, as you mentioned in the video. I just can't explain.

as a malaysian, i keep procastinating that climb. I've seen BatuCaves from the base though. always intimidated by the stairs, then say i'll comeback someday.

if you have knee problem, better to go backwards, when coming down from stair, it helps to reduce the pressure on your knee.
