How Trump's IVF mandate impacts Christians

Can a Christian vote for Trump if he is going to mandate baby-killing IVF? This is the question a viewer sent in. Should we just not vote at all, if we only have sinners on the ballot? And some vague YouTube user thinks I’m an attention-seeking Roman Catholic because I wear a clerical collar, clearly revealing he or she is painfully uneducated about the role of that age-old innovation known as a uniform.

It shows that bread of life doesn’t know church history
The clerical collar didn’t come from the catholic church
But it came from a Presbyterian minister

IVF has been a blessing to my family. I'm sterile but my wife has had 7 kids with 6 different good Christian men.

Thanks for the video. I appreciate your thoughtful response, and do indeed agree that we need to vote. Your point about the Gospel being above all else is excellent and something I will always keep in mind.

I struggle with this idea of the third party option being the cowardly way, though. While Trump is the lesser of two evils, yes, are we putting ourselves in this position where each election we have to choose the lesser of two evils? Are we putting this cross on ourselves? At this point, it feels like we're choosing between the party that accidentally kills 50 million people and the party that maliciously kills 50 million people.

People are hurting from the curse and fall. Fathers and mothers are hurting to bear children, and mankind is trying to be the savior, and the devil is working his ways of death through the process.

Is there a reason why you wear the Anglican collar and not the Roman? Is there a theological meaning behind the difference? Personal choice? Just curious

Sin Boldly Luther says...Big Sin, Bigger Savior! Romans 5:20.

Again, this election has a repetitive theme, the selection of the lesser of two evils. The better discussion point that should be had is God's judgement upon this society producing our weak leadership choice. Behaviors that were once kept in darkness are now brought into the light, paraded in the town square without shame. We are collectively a stiff necked people yoked together pulling in two opposite directions.

But for the sinner / saint, we possess dual citizenship in the earthly and heavenly kingdoms. What we say and do matters, there will be an accounting. Swing the mighty sword of the Christian with the application of God's word. For our faith dwells in the one true King that has defeated sin.... Jesus Christ.
