Scientists discover cave on the Moon

Researchers believe they have discovered a location for a possible future base on the moon.

Analysis of NASA data has found a cave believed to be around 80 metres long and 45 metres wide.

Scientists say the cave is probably an empty lava tube.

It could serve as a moon base for future explorers of an emergency lunar shelter.

Eh, I found that sinkhole (collapsed lava tune section) years ago. The images have bee online for ages. There are a lot more of them too, some run for kilometers. The only problem is how do you adequately survey them for structural integrity without actually putting gear on the surface an inside the "cave"?
