I was 15 at the time and remember the game going into triple overtime, but don’t remember the details. Thanks for the reaction.

The NBA was not that popular at all in the 70's, it didn't get really popular until the 80's and 90's.

There’s a lot of videos made about just how insane that game was if you want to check them out.

Definitely react to the reminder series. It’s probably their best video series they do. Goes deep into the context behind some of the biggest moments in sports history. Definitely recommend any of them but especially the NFL. Also can’t wait for you to get started watching This Week In Sportsball

This is the finals game that I suggested a while back. No doubt, the greatest game in finals history. The greatest finals in finals history.

The thumbnail is weird. That's Billy Cunningham who wasn't the coach of either of these teams. He was the head coach of the 76ers at that time.

NBA isn't dying off. In fact, the Chinese market alone could keep the NBA alive if it did, for whatever reason, start to die in the US and eastern European markets. As someone else already commented, the NBA wasn't really popular at all in the 70s when this game took place. The NBA probably had its height of worldwide popularity in the 90s, and is still doing more than fine these days. Not sure who gave you your NBA info but they're a little off haha.
