Actually korean does have silent letters and words that aren't pronounced as they are written due to sound change rules. For example : 앉다 (meaning: to sit down) is read as (ann-da) despite having a ㅈ. Dont forget TONS of conjugations, polite, formal and informal. Korean is a hard language. Only memorizing the 한글 (alphabet) is easy

Fun fact (facts): The 'O' in the 'o' sound in the Korean alphabet isn't even the 'o' sound. The circle is placed if a vowel is pronounced on its own, so technically he could say that any vowel is 'o'. Also, if it's placed on the lower half, it represents the 'ng' sound, which looks nothing like the 'o' mouth shape anyway. Lastly, the sign with the 'o' letter he was holding up is upside down.

I have to agree... I'm Chinese and Chinese is very hard... and after my Chinese classes, my head would hurt so badly. But, it's not the end. There are two types of Chinese: Simplified, and traditional. Simplified is a bit easier, but take a look at traditional. It has a lot more lines, looks more complicated, and it could take more than one hour if you are a beginner at Chinese and had to write a whole paragraph about something... and your head hurts. Like me. There's also NO alphabet for Chinese. It's word for word, making it very hard. I was very surprised when Nas talked about Korean, a very easy language everybody can use in less than an hour!

For your kind information, Bangla language has 49 alphabet. 11 vowels, 38 consonant. Also the language has so many weird words and silent letter as English. It is harder to learn Bangla for a beginner.
