Not a battery issue, it’s wiring.

The recall bulletin tells us that a manufacturing flaw resulted in the carpet underlay being positioned between the nut and the electrical ground stud, which, over time, due to vibrations when driving, might cause the wiring beneath the floor to overheat, potentially resulting in a fire within the vehicle.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Viking, it's the MG HS PHEV that's recalled here in Australia on the 3rd of May, not the MG ZS EV.

I had a look at the recall and the ZS EV is not impacted by the recall so it would be good to clarify this as its only the MG HS PHEV and MG HS EV+ models (only the PHEV) - no MG full EVs are included in the recall

Hi there, bought my MG ZS EV early Jan 2023. The car has a lithium iron phosphate battey. Overall ihave been very happy with the car. Looked at the NYD Atto3 great looking car on the outside, but I couldn't stand the interior!! Also no proper dealer network put me off as well. The car has travelled 8000kms so far with out a glitch. I enjoying you clips, Keep up the good work

Just a note on the MG4. My understanding is that the first offering will be the Long Range Battery pack in the model known as the Essence. It’s almost a Trophy model, but not quite. Thats the first version to arrive here later this year. It does not have the LFP battery pack as I understand it. The SE will arrive later with the standard range LPF Batteries.

Hey Sam the new Model 3 LR is now LFP. If you buy a M3 LR and it has an EPA range of 325+ miles then it is LFP.

I found it entertaining. This recall is likely the results of design fault of battery itself. But SAIC Chuck down by its own. With all these fxxk up which the impact is worse than Takata airbeg recall, despite less number of viechle affected. Takata end up gone belly up because all the recall along with people suiting their axx off. By LG Chem remain strong an profitable. Reality is indeed a beech.
