I love mine! I bought it second hand, just over a year old, 7500 miles on the clock, six years of warranty left, for half the new price. They're great! Sure, the older one looks like a 2015 Passat, but who cares - I didn't buy it for the looks! It's super practical, will easily do 4.5m/kwh on a run, and is a really smooth, comfortable ride. 9/10 would recommend.

Sam, one pedal driving is really fun when you're a driver and you drive alone. After I saw my passengers feeling dizzy a few times, I switched to minimal regen. The ride because incomparably more comfortable for passengers, and energy efficiency is still the same, maybe even better than 1 pedal driving

I've had mine for two and a half years (pre facelift version) and it's a great car. The infotainment system on my one is not great but the facelift version is much better I am told.

Base model translates to $60, 000 AUD when looking at the MG UK website. 325km net range allowing for WLTP optimism and battery degradation. Base model MG4 is $13, 000 cheaper in the UK than the MG5, so a price of around $47, 000 is a possibility. A BYD Atto3 for $48, 000 has around 20km more range under the same conditions and has a boot space of 1340 litres (seats down), which 27 litres less than the MG5. For the price I would expect 50km more range and at least 1500 litres luggage capacity.

These things were the by far the most common taxi in most parts of China last year. They were everywhere. Let's hope they improve the safety rating for the NZ/Aus market.

Just recently bought my MG ES which here in Thailand corresponds to the MG 5 EV. Secondhand I paid 670 000 Baht (about 27500 AUD) with a mileage of 20 000 km. But the battery is only 51 kW and the range is just over 300 km. There is no navigation or audio system included unfortunately. But I really cannot complain at this price. It has Android Auto and I have not been able to connect by Bluetooth, only by USB cable, and that has been somewhat unstable. The new price is 960 000 Baht.

Many say they want a wagon but few buy them. Low sales numbers in Europe. The hatch, SUV and CUV are the future.

mg4 standard has a 51kw battery and 64kw for the long range. so mg5 has the long range battery. relativley cheap at 31k pounds. 20k cheaper then model y.

Was looking at the MG5 but the driver legspace was just way too short and the car does look quite boring. Ended up going with the BYD Dolphin instead.

Here in Thailand we facing the a/c compressor resistance problem that caused the system shutdown and the car completely died while driving. Very dangerous.
