INBOARD PROPELLER ROTATION

Why do vessels with two engines have opposite facing propellers? Well, this is because it allows the vessel to go straight without steering. If the vessel has two right handed propellers, the boat would drift towards the starboard side due to a phenomenon called side effect. The pop bushes water behind the boat and towards the port side, pushing the vessel to starboard. This just makes the vessel hard to control while underway.
