My favorite book for the last 20 years, and I am 70 now. I studied many, Blavatsky, Kabbalah, Baghavad Gita, our Bible, so much info...and when the Course chose me (I actally salvaged the book from my church, they were going to throw it away as Heresy) it slowly changed my world and mind. I did the structured 365 lessons, learned a lot, but the real magic started when I just randomly opened it and BAAANG, there was the answer to my doubt or question or anxiety !
I use it like that now, a book of divination, open on my desk 24/7, and we have becopme inseperable friends.
Thank you, Holy Spirit !!
The first thing the Course says is-

I've been student of ACIM for a long, time, I relate to what you saying, suffered from anxiety, depression, loneliness and was punished for having tourettes syndrome as a small child from a violent father and mentally abused by much older narcissistic brother, and was racially abused at school, brought up a catholic, but introduced to the course at age 30, it stopped me from going mad relied on psychiatrists, psychologists and medications most of my life, but now having giving it all away. At the age 65 I still find solace in the book and still practice and am extending the message of love as best as I could, thankyou for sharing your story with us🙏

I love ACIM. I'm generally detached from having specific experiences or things, but I'm stuck at the point that I have to still provide the basics for the body (roof, food, etc.). This either involves working, managing investments, etc. I can't find a way to engage in those activities without being pulled into the world of decision and ego. Each day I try to see how I can do with even less, but there's a practical limit short of sitting on the street. I do intuitively feel that freedom is another word for nothing left to lose. Perhaps, ACIM will eventually get the holy spirit to take over survival decisions. That's where I've become stuck due to life's experiences so I can't completely let go of the fear.

I was reading the book nearly 50 years ago when it was published. But my ego was still active, so I could not really understand. Today 2024 the consciousness in the word is much higher. Therefore, I will read it again with the knowledge of all I learned from other teachers in the past. Exciting 🤭

I loved your analogy of the starving person eating for the first time, there is a deep hunger for something that no earthly thing satisfies, and seldom do we know what it is, but when you know, you know.

Dear Melissa. I haven't read ACIM yet, but I will. I just have to put you at Pause at 7:57 to tell you something that helped me with offensive people, maybe it will help you or others as well. It's actually 2 things: 1. At the end of the day I always have a talk with god and I remember that offensive people are just playin their roles in this life. So my reaction to their role and their reaction to mine helps us both to realise and learn something. 2. I realised that people who offended me the most, taught me the most important lesson in my life. When you are pushed against the wall and there is no way out, you have to fight for yourself or you get k.o. I realized After a long time that the people I hated the most were the ones who helped me the most to find the strength I didn't even knew I had in me. And when you realize that you see this people or should I say you see their souls and their soulplan and what the purpose of their roles was. They took the evil roles so that you become stronger. Suddenly you are not mad anymore. You feel only love and you became greatful for the hard parts they played. The funny thing is that you then realized how often you played the "evil" part for another person so that she can learn from it. I hope you know what I mean

Wonderful video! I've been a student of ACIM for decades, (along with a lot of other spiritual practices.) I've heard a lot of ACIM teachers, some well-known, and your talk was among the best. I like that you didn't attempt to teach the principles of the Course but that you shared your own experience! Bravo!
