Two years ago they said we were not a top 6 team anymore. We reached top 6. Last year they said we would not have had further chances to get top 4. We achieved top 4 in April. Now, they say we won't have another chance to win the title...their hate is my pride and my fuel. This is the demonstration of how much we are feared and respected. I love this team much more now than one month ago. Coyg!!!

A title run is about 3yr process which is about 2.5 seasons in my opinion.

There's halfway through a season you realise you got something to work with and your team isn't a pushover anymore, so the following season is the 1st full season. After some good acquisitions you finish further up the table and are now a worry for most if not all teams in the league.

That 2nd full season is where the world is expecting you to do bits because you've plugged some gaps and everyone has that bit more experience to draw from. Look at City's rise, look at Liverpool winning their first in decades. There's a pattern. If you look at it Arsenal are about on track if not just ahead of schedule based on this logic. A good cup run also helps and highlights the elevated levels because your team is typically too good in one off matches for most teams to cope with even if most of the cup is by the second stringers.

As a city fan i totally agree with you really I don't Understand that people hate on arsenal and say they bottle it because they still have a chance very small chance but always and even if they don't win the league still second place is a great achievment and people should have appreciate that what Arsenal did and how this team in one year from being 5 upgraded to fight for a title

Exactly!! Only reason why the title is being lost is part to the Saliba injury.
But mainly its lack of experience. Liverpool was in the same situation they had to learn to handle the pressure.

I also think we were better with Martinelli, Trossard, Saka as front three than with Jesus. Trossard made Martinelli better. Jesus do that to but it becomes he that are supposed to score goals more when he is on and he need 40 chances to score.

Trossard on makes everyone at front scoring instead.

Before next season we need a upgrade on Xhaka so he become the benched one.
We need a cb who can put pressure on Gabriel and Saliba. Will be exciting to see Kiwior next season but we need one more so Holding is not the squad debth.

Either we need a better striker or get Balogan back from France, i just don't think Nhkitea or how its spelled is good enough.
If some of the starters now become squad players then City will be in trouble.

Arsenal has played the best football this season by far. And hardly anyone is close to their prime. In City most are in prime or on the way past it. Just like with Liverpool.

Bit ironic many has said we are bottling it.
But Chelsea that has spent 600 mill is not mentioned to bottle anything.

United spent 300mill or so but not bottling it.

Its just two teams this season who really deserves being top 4 thats Arsenal and Newcastle. Played good football and not broken any rules.

City don't even deserve to be in the league with over 100 charges of cheating. Just a shame they could not finish the case before season end.

65 points reduction would be a good start.

Its not that they’ll somehow get worse. It’s the likelihood that everyone else will get much better. One of the biggest problems during the (early) Wenger years was that we were content standing still because we were really good. But the problem was the likes of Chelsea and Man U made the effort to get better and catch up and the eventually surpass us.

Absolutely, I tipped us to win the league at the start of the campaign, and fair enough I don’t think we will now. Inexperience and squad depth hindered us, but next season we’ll be stronger and more street wise. Is going to happen Bhavs .
