Here's a quick tip:
Reinforce a door and then place your tactical sideways, such that it travels underneath the door to the other side. This makes it so the Core of the fluid is safe behind the doors, and the enemy will be forced to take damage from the spikes when they kick the doors.

The tactical doesn’t have a time limit for you to be able to pick it up and back in your inventory. The reason you sometimes can’t pick it back into your inventory is bc the trap already detected an enemy

The ult would be better if you could throw it sideways in front of you rather than starting it at the end.

You can only pick up her Q and return the charge if it hasn’t been activated by an enemy :)

Extra tips

Double doors count as a 1 door not 2. Because of this you can reinforce 2 double doors or single doors

Enemy catalyst walls dont blind or slow catalysts (not 100% proven)

Spikes can be picked up and re-placed as long as they have not been activated by a enemy

3:01 you place her tactical. 3:03 the tactical animates a spike floor. That has to be the visual timer.

I love catalyst, this legend can really change close combat and finally counters scan legends

I see a lot of people waste or misuse her ult. I think about it in two ways, either to isolate a fight/split us off from one team during a third party. Or to mask a retreat. I see a lot of people that just throw her ult randomly in a fight in the middle of a field 😂. Also her ult can go up steep drop offs if theyre the same height as her maybe a tiny bit shorter, and if youre on top a steep drop off itll go down at full height. An unblocked ult can travel at to 55m so its really good if you need a wall to block LOS to make a get away. If youre playing against an aggro team i’d also recommend doubling up the tac on the most likely avenue of approach since the stun time is weak on the tacs

Also, your spikes detect an enemy nearby, and are very obvious visually and audibly.
I use them on my team's flanks, so we can hear/see if an enemy if trying to flank us.

The tactical only goes back into your inventory if it wasn't activated by an enemy being close to it

The Seer heart beat has to be a bug right? Like I can see an ult maybe not countering another ult that directly but a passive beating an ult?! That's just not right

It seems like on apex can't really pick up things that enemies have already interacted with and store them back in your (tactical ).
Watson fences are the exception I can think of.
But I'm also newb
