Install a PoE Wireless Access Point without Replacing the Existing Ethernet Switch

The outdoor access point can take the internet data from the router and improve the WiFi coverage outdoors. The access point needs both power and data. If your access point supports PoE/PoE+, you can use a single Ethernet cable to transmit both power and data to the access point. The PoE injector is required to add power to the cable. The PoE injector will be attached to your router as well to obtain the network data. The maximum distance between the main router and the access point is limited to 100 meters. If you need a connection beyond 100 meters, you can add the PoE extender to increase the network link.

I have a tp-link access point with tp-link poe injector, i did the exact same connection and the access point powers up but doesnt have internet and it doesnt show up on the wifi list. It used to work, but i switched to longer ethernet the it didnt, how do i fix?

Um, basic networking is a 3ft ethernet cable; when going NIC to NIC (your router to your midspan poe injector), why are you using a patch cable that is under 3ft?

How do I stop my neighbor from creating her own access point on my POE injector? Whenever I power up my injector, my neighbors wifi network pops up in the list of available networks and their devices attach to an entirely different network. Googling did not yield results.
