If all we are to each other is our money and taxes, then why did we make modern society? When we didn't have money, we didn't lose each other. The world should be ashamed.

Before Prop 13, taxes in California on houses were going up so much that people were being priced out of their houses. It sounds like that's what got this guy.

He must've been devastatingly handsome as a young man.

This is the result of a heartless and unrelenting society that prides itself on self reliance....All the while praising the affluent and billionaires and those in power who do not care nor care that we all exist, except for profits and exploitation. This is the America of today unfortuntely.... Peace

This beautiful person explained what it is to be homeless and the many reasons by it. Why can't politicians or anyone understand this? It's not rocket science.

Oh, , that made me cry. Most of those people on the streets had something, and it's gone. Soooo sad.

There are other examples of this very thing. There is archival local news footage of a big fire that happened. I think in the Adams district in around 1984. in that report residence affected by the fire were interviewed these residents were homeowners. These residents were all black American homeowners.

Same area this is another example reminds me of, same area: the former mutual building on the corner of Western and Adams. One of the first black American owned financial companies in Los Angeles if not the US. Now it’s turned into a government dependence, single mom building.

One last one, it appears that many formally owned black American homes in South Los Angeles are being bought up by non Black Americans and now liberal Anglo interlopers.

Got under water with property taxes; my bad but fortunately a dear neighbor friend who can afford to is going to buy my house for a fair sum and let us rent it and is going to fix it up; she wants another property and we can’t afford to keep a house so its a win win for us. American people helping American people is how we get along; if you can ❤be the miracle for someone in their time of need

Los Angeles is not a city for the poor..if youre poor or low income just pack up and move to a cheaper smaller state or town.

No accountability. If your own family doesn’t want to deal with you then I sure don’t want to deal with you. I’m sure he was a deadbeat dad who likely didn’t provide for his son so now the shoe is on the other foot.

They also allowed undocumented immigrants to work and live multiple in one apartment or home but would kick black families out for working and living multiple in an apartment or house.
Not only LA but check Santa Barbara’s history.

Most of the chronically homeless have drug addictions and mental illnesses.😢 Taxes are out of control as is the costs of living. Rents are way out of proportion to incomes. Lately the elderly have been pushed into the streets too. This is happening across our cities in
America. Also add millions of immigrants who need the same services these people can’t afford ?😢

Property taxes in California if we don’t change that people are not going to be able to pay their property taxes even though the house it’s paid off.
You should pay on your purchase price 1% not more. We are paying on a fictional price that the county keeps raising and raising.
We need politicians that change that. Urgent
