from my experience, more relaxing than intense. You just sit there and observe. If you want to know intense, try doing primary search through an entire basement with zero visibility and a dozen other firefighters in the way.

tbh it isnt hard at all...looks cool and gets hot for a few seconds..but thats it.
there are similar container trainings where you have to find a way threw a Obsatcle cours with 0 visibility in a tight cage-like Labirynth and a real-wood fire burning on the other End of the Containers...that was the hardest training ive ever had

If you aren’t doing things like intentionally creating a lot of steam in the exercise to teach about it and then going so far that your ears are burnt afterwards, it’s a safe exercise, really not that extreme. It’s just extremely interesting that no matter how often you tell some firefighters to not pat their ppe when it gets hot, but to shake it instead, there are always some that are too dumb to understand it. You always see some knuckle heads get hot legs and beat the last protective layer of air out of their pant leg.

This is called a flashover chamber. And no its not once a year its once per class. And yeah its hot as crap lol. They are sitting because the heat higher up is intense, 5-700 degrees, and at the very top can be 1000+ degrees. Down low around 300+. We stuck our hands up for a few seconds - it gets unbearable quick lol

Not that hard… just feel the fire and watch how it acts. When it burns you ears it’s time to back up or rethink your attack is what my instructors say. I personally just keep pushing but only if it’s safe for by battle buddy.

Most intense?? We just sit there like sardines in a tin can, and cook.... nothing intense about it, except the heat. It's the flashover simulator.
