In this video I will show you the listening corner of my new studio. As a musician, listening to music is really important to me, so I decided to have a dedicated corner in my home recording studio just for this purpose. I show you the entire process of setting this all up, vinyl, tape, streaming, record storage and sound treatment. I just love how this corner turned out!

I like this video a lot: it's enjoyable as always, and I could relate to so many things! Also my "new" record player (I have it for 5 years now) has no auto-stop, and that really surprised me badly (even my old Lenco dj turntable had that, but stupidly I gave that away decades ago). Now I got used to it. I'm also using BT transceivers to connect my analog audio to the digital world. This video inspired me to spend more time again with all my vinyls as soon as I'm back home - working 220 km from home for most of the week. When I was young, having a decent stereo was a must-have, and I mean stereo verbally. I bought one from my first income from internships. Nowadays the kids and youngsters seem to be happy with just their smartphones for listening to music - no sense for sound quality, I guess.
I'll keep on watching your videos, always very relaxing and grounding 😃, thank you 🙏

The love of music is the joy that keeps giving.. As someone who lived through crackly vinyl then wowing and fluttering cassette, the advent of CD quality was life altering and I certainly wouldn't want to go back! But I'm so happy that you have found enjoyment in it and it's wonderful that the older technologies are kept alive much the same as analogue photography. A great video to watch ..again!

LOL, I thought the same thing with record players as you. I wanted a fully automatic turntable and ended up buying a newly serviced, very well-maintained Technics SL M3, which also has an auto repeat function, cueing, automatic start, and automatic start. If I can make a suggestion, the best item for the price I bought which made a huge difference in my studio was a Umik1 using REW software. Is a fun project making convolution filters.

You like Doisneau, one of my favorites, you're on another level with this video; cameras, tapes, records. 15:38, lol, anti skating mechanism. I wasnt a believer in anti skating until I played the Highway to Hell album and was about to return it because it skipped, that little metal ball on string fixed the problem.

Wish I had a space like that, but our house here is way too small and not really set out to have a space like that. I really need to get a darkroom setup soon as I have a backlog of film that really needs processing!! Looks like I'll have to win the lotto and buy a new place!!😊😊 How's the darkroom coming along at your place? Although, with those problems you've just had I can imagine it'll be on the back burner, again. I have a record player here at home, but like everything else it's finding the space to set it up that keeps it gathering dust!! But, I'm glad you have your place setup and running well. Nothing better than having your own little corner you can go to and just chill out in!😊
