BMW F800GS, 30,000 Mile Update & Review

2 years ago my friend Mike did a video of the modifications he's done to his BMW F800GS. We received a lot of positive feedback and questions about the bike.

Now Mike is back with an update on how the bike has been doing the last couple of years. It now has over 30,000 miles on it.

Vermont is nice. I recognized it right away :) I used to live in NH and always preferred to ride in Vermont.

Nice video, but the reality is different as I'm riding every day... bought my bike used at 3500miles at 2016 January, now it's 08/12/2018 and I had following experience at 4000 miles I had the clutch change in warranty, oil leak from valve gasket as well changed in warranty. After few trips to Croatia in recent years bike show and started developing issues with speed sensor wrong data, headlight burnout somehow - I still do not understand why, and head gasket issue. At 32000 miles engine overheating, oil mixing with coolant, idling and engine dying at red lights... after head gasket change and 800£ shorter, still realising its not ok thinking to buy Honda as I will be able... and have a peace. Its great bike when it works.

Great video! I've been riding a G 650 gs for a couple of years now and contemplating moving to an f800 gs. I know this vid was awhile ago but any info on his luggage setup? Thanks!

I'm going get off the sport bike s1000rr and try out a used 2014 f800gs (only 600miles on her) and tear up Utah..thanks for the vid

Nice to see a really nice honest review changed my mind about this bike even those the services are expensive, 31000 seriously happy miles may the gentleman with the bike have many more great review ride safe 😀🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

biggest problem with that bike is very soft front suspension and rear shock tiny bolt which bends when real off-road.

wow, mine runs great but i get about 38-43 mpg, had it to dealer to check it, but all is good, plugs were clean, good compression, they cked sensors but all ok. i have to fill up about 140 to 150 miles. my ktm 990 is far better
