Today I decided to design a fix to Apple's biggest design flaw on the Magic Mouse and the way you charge it....but Tim Cook really took me for a wild ride on this one.

What world problems should I solve next?!

“On the surface it’s a very well designed wireless mouse”
Magic mouse: *is possibly the least ergonomic, most uncomfortable mouse to use for any period of time*

This man just comes, solves a random problem and goes back to his other invention. Truly a hero we need but we don't deserve. And his inventions are getting more necessary that he might have to change his channel name

They’re probably going to solve this “issue” with a mousepad that have a wireless charging coil inside and a wirelessly charged magic mouse that would cost double the current magic mouse that they’re selling

Saw that coming a mile away. Apple did this 100% intentionally. They'd rather you buy two so you can use one while the other charges.

Apple has a very strategic way of doing these designs. First they make a product and design that has some flaws, after that comes a new revision which is way better than the previous one. As seen done with AirPods. So make a product that is wanted/needed, use some catchy elements, but leave a little room for errors, so the further versions feel better. It’s all about making more revenue.

My thought has always been, they did it so it couldn’t be used as a regular mouse. If it has a wire, it’s no longer magic, so no wires, even if you want to.

Both my current and previous gaming mice had their charging ports on the front, so they can be used as wired mice while charging. Also, the newer one has USB-C. It's almost like accessories can be made with an up-to-date non-proprietary standard.

Dude! That was complete, “well that was a massive waste of my time” moment.

Was fun to see a solution even though it didn’t work

i already knew that it won't work because it stop working when it's plugged in. So not only i was excited on how you gonna make an invention to fix it, but also how you gonna react when it was not gonna work.
You're truly a gold content creator and artist. Looking forward to see more amazing unnecessary invention!

Here's an idea: Apple puts the charging port on the front edge of the mouse so while it's charging you can use it like a regular wired mouse and when it's at 100% you unplug it and use it like a wireless mouse again

Edit: Jesus christ this was just an idea people you don't have to get upset about it

2:11 That’s not what the rubber ball is for, it’s used to detect movement, like a dial, but in 2D.

It's amazing that Apple continually innovates on everything! They even made a mouse that costs more than most Bluetooth mice and is significantly worse in its design! They've innovated backwards, but we are talking about Apple

its an intentional design flaw, when the battery deteriorates and stops holding a charge. you will not be able to just keep charging it and using it at the same time, meaning you HAVE to buy a new mouse now. and this is basically the scummyness that will be found within anything apple. you are able to buy a better more functional and ergonomic mouse for half the price. and in the time frame of about 4 years you will save exponentially.

Dramatic plot twist at the end.DIDN'T expect that!

Interesting idea, I personally would have opted for one of those wireless charging receivers. They are simple and very thin, and would allow you to use the mouse comfortably.

They made this mouse like this cause they wanted to think different.
But the second part off the solution was so broke they had to cancel it, after doing the BOMBASTIC presentation.

this is the weirdest mouse I've ever seen

At this point Apple is trying to test how shitty they can go and have people still buy their products.

Still wondering what made them choose the spot under the mouse
