Lippert Solid Step Installation (RV Upgrades/ RV Steps)

The Lippert Solid Step installation is quite a simple job. RV upgrades like thee make your RVing experience so much more enjoyable. RV steps are not something most people put thought into, this is a great upgrade.

For us our RV is our home, we spend a lot of time in it. This quick and easy travel trailer upgrade of RV steps has already made a big difference for us. We also decided to add Lippert's lift assist to our Solid Step. This helps when putting the RV steps away, using a hydraulic strut. They truly are SOLID, the trailer doesn't move at all upon entry, and they give a large entry platform. We hope this video of installing the Lippert Solid Step makes your installation easier!

Replaced our original steps on our Jayco this past spring. Only a 2-stepper, but what a difference. Like Melissa, I saw them everywhere at a camper show two years ago and knew we had to have them. You really notice the difference in stability when 5 grandkids are in and out all day long. And, YES, the install was as easy as it looked. Great job!

Thank you so much for the video, I am so glad you have a Nash, the boondocking and the places where you go gives me a chance to experience the view and lifestyle. I hope in a couple of years God willing if I make it to retirement i Could travel out that way. Ps was on Northwood website and said to myself hey there's a picture of your rig so cool.

One more thing did you have to modify the doors to get them to close properly?

Awesome, thank you for sharing. How does the door close when the steps are stowed for travel and is there a difference on how the door closes when the steps are down?

Although this might be a great step, I ordered mine in February, and now it's June and they still haven't shipped mine. Keep getting the email saying next month, next month. I'm about done with Lippert!

How hard was it to attach the Hydraulic arm, my neighbors said they had a hell of a time uninstalling and reinstalling.

How high is the door off of the ground? I think that would be very important information. Mine is 36 Inches so I am not sure if I should go with the 3 or 4 steps. Mine at present has the same steps you do 3 plus the top.

Awesome vid guys!!! I am sure this will save me a few steps. About to purchase till I got to Assist lift. I have a door close to the Assist will fit. how far away from the wall does it stick out? Might be an issue.

Great video and I’m sure Blue (sp?) will enjoy them.

So the one thing that seems to be a possible problem with those steps is that you bring in dirt, mud, snow and ice when you put them up. Any thoughts on that? And or solutions to that problem?

What about dirt on the steps. It seems if you don’t clean them real good you are gonna dump in your trailer. I got the 22h and step is the only thing I don’t like.
