Speaking of LSD, I once bought a pair of shoes from a drug dealer. I don't know what he laced them with, but I was trippin' for the rest of the day.

The stigma and laws preventing deeper research of psychedelic drugs is one of the greatest injustices in modern pharmaceutics.

Not gonna lie, I know quite a few people who could use a helluva lot more "ego dissolution."

As someone who used to use LSD I can assure you there are no negative long-term fish, hatstand, banana.

"LSD, or acid, is one of the best known psychedelic drugs"
Yes. Yes it is.

As a person who has experienced ego dissolution on shrooms, it is one hell of an experience. I wouldn't call it fun, it's more of a mindfuck, but it's incredibly interesting. Genuinely forgetting which person in the room is you is a very unique feeling, as is losing the concept of personhood entirely. It's like floating in a sea of color and noise that feels somewhat familiar, as you come down, you realize that all that color and noise is the outside world, and your experience of it begins to trickle back in, the structured interactions between different parts of your brain come back, and you're able to sort of piece yourself back together. Remembering you have arms is also interesting.

Finally, more studies into Psychedelics.
I cannot wait until more comes out & silences the various misconceptions from either side of the fence.

I was very interested in the LSD findings - I'd really like to let go of my ego and live freely and happily, but when I found out I could be president of space I suddenly had a new purpose in life

I think if everyone over the age of 18 tried LSD at least once in their life, the world would be a much greater place.

"A unified brain was correlated with ego dissolution."
Ego Death confirmed for a more true reality.

The increase in brain activity in the visual cortex makes perfect sense. Also, the increase in signal traffic between brain regions that usually don't talk to each other would explain the rare events reported of synesthesia. Cool info.

I heard they were also doing studies for mdma used for therapy for prod patients and social anxiety, and autism in adults. I recommend researching that too. That was a really really interesting find.

in history, some of our greatest advancements in science came about from blind funding. people just doing science for sciences sake. we need to have a pool of scientists that are allowed to do this. just have a blank check and make them go. can we create a program whereby an institution of scientists that vote or appoint those they think are most creative for just such a role?
