***(MINOR IMO)SPOILER WARNING ON THIS TIP***

A little tip for my assassin friends: in grymforge next to the port, there're two dwarfs that are talking alongside a few bodies on the ground. Just so people know exactly where I'm talking about, behind them there's a door who takes you to the dining table with some skeletons etc.
In one of the bodies, there's a rare ring who gives the invisibility spell. Dunno if it'll be there in the release but keep this information somewhere safe just in case

I'm probably going to do Astarian multiclass in my 2nd playthrough with assassin 3, gloomstalker 3, and then shadow monk 6 for BOTH the extra attack AND for the shadow step ability which would really cool since he is a vampire and all that.

"Thieve's Tools enable the owner to open locks based on their Sleight of Hand skill." So unlike in tabletop, a skill is used to open locks and disarm traps. In BG3 u might need a "Trap Disarm Kit", but in tabletop 5e this is included as part of Thieve's tools.

A few Ranged, Finesse on sneak attack - e.g., Rapier, dagger, dart, scimitar (bad ass), short sword... (I think these are correct - D&D = Chris)

I have to say that Stealth is OP in BG3. I have killed entire rooms of enemies by sbeak shotting them 1 at a time. And as long as stealth is successful the rest go back to their spots. Especially in the goblin camp.

Death strike makes little sense. You said that any successful attack on a surprised enemy is a critical hit, so already does double damage, right? What extra bonus does death strike get you, then? Is it 4x damage?

Regarding thief’s cant: there are already a few dialogues in EA that offer something for rogues specifically.

Anyone have any suggestions for playing more of a crime lord, like a Kaz Brekker of sorts? Rouge seems like the best choice, but it sucks "sneak attack" basically means "backstab" since you have to use a finesse weapon. It would be awesome to use a quarter staff kinda like a pimp cane.

short sword and whip if I remember correctly (playing on and off since 10 years old - some my have changed.)
