There’s nothing more timeless than what looks good on you

I think one thing that makes it really difficult is that when trying to find techniques and looks that are flattering for eye shapes that don't fit the trends, is that when searching for "hooded eyes", or "downturned eyes", or "deep set eyes", etc, there are VASTLY more videos on camouflaging/hiding/fixing these issues instead of them.

I need a video where you show me exactly what to do for MY eye shape. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Notification squad!

I’d love to see you do an eye look on two models with different eye shapes and demonstrate what you’d do differently. Maybe with looks that are still similar but still tailored for their eye shape. Love your content—it’s so helpful!

Your "DUDE where you place your eyeshadow totally changes your eyeshape" helped me so much the first times I did eyeshadow!

say it again sis for the people in the back row: "lean into your natural eye shape"!! I love that you said that!

I love that you are so real and so honest! I am soooo sick of the whole " We all have to look the same, and you aren't beautiful unless you look like this" Bulls$#@! Why can't we all be individuals like we are supposed to be.... The center hair part thing is "In" now, and I'm here to tell you that I look Ridiculous with my hair like that, and it's OKAY! Anyway, I'll stop my rant.. I love your videos Alex, I'm obsessed!

As a very olive-skinned EAsian person with monolid eyes - NO visible crease when my eyes are open - and an epicanthal fold - man I wish I'd seen this early on when I was getting into makeup. It's so hard not to get discouraged when nothing you see seems to work for you. I live in the US and my adoptive family is all white, so trying to figure out what I'm doing at any given time has taken a *while*. This look is gorgeous, btw, it reminds me of moth wings and it highlighted the colors in your eyes in the coolest way <3

I have a droopy and hooded eye shape and seeing this video made me happy because I tell people this all the time! For anyone that struggles with eyeshadow on hooded eyes, I say don't be afraid to get heavy underneath your eye! A shimmer/glitter on the inner part and a dark lower lash line is my go-to. Sometimes I even put shimmer all over my eyebags to draw attention to them but that's not for everyone because it is quite dramatic haha

This is important. I would love to see someone do the same makeup look on different people and show this concept...

You are my comfort youtuber when i feel sick; i get pretty bad anxiety so i love how your vids are down to earth and chill. No music, no filters, just you talking calmly. Thank you.

At this point i've given up on eye shadow, shaved my brows spock style, an slap on lemonhead la glitter on my brow bone!!! It's hard out here

I really need a tutorial for big round prominent eyes with lots of lid space!! I feel like there’s nothing out there at the moment for my eyes and a lot of people focus on hooded eyes etc

This is SO helpful!! It sounds like you get a lot of hooded eye questions, maybe going more in-depth into hooded eye makeup ideas using some examples/actor images? I know for me, I have pretty saggy eyelids and little space and I'm always confused as to not just *lose all the eyeshadow* in the crease. Love all your videos, been watching for years!

As someone with droopy sad puppy eyes, thank you for the positivity lol! When I first started getting into makeup I found it so frustrating to try to follow the “standard” tutorials for like a cat eye because my eyes are simply Not Built Like That, so it took me just practicing and experimenting on my own to figure out what worked. And also, sometimes embracing the weirder parts of your face with makeup can be really fun! I’ve got close set eyes, and I used to do everything to lighten up my inner corners to make them seems further apart, but recently I’ve been darkening my inner corners and it’s been great! Like, yes, I am built like a flounder, but fuck it, why can’t I put a dark shimmer on my inner corner!

it took me took years to realise that i was only doing my eye makeup for my front profile and then i would always see pictures of myself from any other angle and wonder why my makeup looked so weird!! and i realised i'd never seen anyone mention taking your side profile into consideration?? i think when i started experimenting with shapes that looked best for my natural eye shape AND my side profile is around the same time i got more confident with trying more fun colours and stuff :DD
