I was diagnosed with moderate dry eye and was prescribed steroids (for a few weeks) and then Restasis eye drops ongoing. I came across another youtube video on Optimal Manuka eye gel and decided to take a chance. TOTAL GAME CHANGER! I use the eye drops in the am and mid afternoon and then use the gel formulation at bedtime. My eyes are no longer red, dry or uncomfortable and I stopped all other prescription eye drops. :)
As stated by others who use these drops/gel - they do sting like a bugger but well worth it!

I watched your video last night and went to my refrigerator because I keep manuka honey 16 in there in case I get a sore throat and I did what you said and I also put a little smidge just inside the bottom lid and I rubbed it above my eyelid and under my eyelid and this morning I woke up for the first time in years without crust and grit or pain. I did construction for 10 years start having left eye infection my eyelid what's swollen don't be like a white bump that would not go away I heard people using Manuka honey for cuts and a wound small ones I mean I put Manuka Honey underneath my eyelid did it for four straight days and my I went back to normal I still have a bump underneath my eye from construction dust but my eyelid don't swollen anymore I used one from Kroger I believe 16 grade 8 oz almost $22 would love to try the one that's expensive I was told that there is one car at Costco that you can buy for $300 even eating the honey a couple teaspoons a day is really healthy makes me feel good I'm thankful for the knowledge about the manuka honey I think it could do a lot for some people

I've made my own eye wash w/manuka honey it's very beneficial. No irritation. However, I'm very fastidious about making sure everything is sterile. Have done this for several years as needed. I don't overdo.

Could i apply a thin layer at the base of my eyelid with a wet q tip?
My problem is lashline is a bit flaky. Ps i have try several tto wipes and it only aggravate the problem

I use Optimel drops in my eyes everyday. They sting like a @$&#! at first, but only for a few seconds. My eyes also tear up when this happens (pouring down the face!) so I need to have a tissue handy ready. My eyes go quite red for a minute or two after but then they feel so amazing! I use them at least twice a day. My eyes feel much better as long as I keep up with the drops and they're much less dry. I have the gel too which I mostly use in the morning. Manuka honey definitely helps me! PS Nicest tasting eye drops I've ever used 😂

Important question : I put bio active Manuka honey directly in my eyes.
Not a formulated eye drop.
I have artificial multifocal in their ocular lenses in my eyes.
Is it safe to use honey with artificial lenses in your eyes? And is it safe to just use direct honey, (One drop on inside of lower lid), Rather than the drops that you buy that are formulated with it?
