why does PT do that? in logic the analyser is built into the EQ so everything's much easier :)

bluecat freq analyzers have an opacity option that i like to use when i master songs. i pull up my song, and a major label studio song that is similar in style, play both songs with 2 bluecat freq analyzers stacked on top of each other, with ones opacity set to 50%. you can see the eq graph of both songs, if you mixed well they should be similar!

Good video with good intension, the only problem is that he put the EQ AFTER the analyzer and in this demo it will not show the result of the EQ on the analyzer...I can tell he was surprised to see the the low end was still as loud as before.

Managed to figure it out myself. Used the RATS instead of VTS.

Thanks for the feedback. We haven't experienced any problems with the Blue Cat Frequency Analyzer. Works like a charm. We're running PT8 on MAC OSX 10.5 as well.

But after you have installed it, where in PT will you find it. I click on inserts where it should be, but it's not there, even though the VST files are in the right place. Do you have to tell PT where to look for them?

I saw no difference at all between the original and then after when you cut the low end.
even the analyzer looked the same.
