What’s the Best Height For SMASHING Dunks?

From 5'4" Andrew McFly to 6'5 Courtland Holloway...which height is the best for dunking?
I personally think 6'2" with long arms is ideal, but what do you think? #dunkademics

Ofc the shorter the more impressive depending on type of dunk, but I'd say between 6'1-6'5 has the best balance of hangtime, power, style when soaring in the air

Height is less important than reach. Arm length and hand sizes also matter.

I'm 5'11" and back in my day making the 6'5" and 6'6" guys look small was such an ego boost. I'll be 37 this year and my knees clocked out and never came back. Running is rough at times. Just bring back 06 and 07 for a day and I'll be happy

6; 5" - 6' 6" is the best height, you don't need to strain and use as much power and you are not slowed down by your limb length.

Best height is 6’1-6’3, Isaiah, J Clark, Chris Staples, Jordan K, J Southerland, etc; are many examples of why I say the height.

Shorter is the optimal height for dunking because the shorter you are, the more impressive it is, both from a crowd and jumper perspective. It's hard to get hyped about anyone over 6 ft dunking after you see a 5'5 guy dunking.

You should also ask what's the best rim height for dunking (Which I think is 9'9). Not too low that it looks lame, you still have to jump and crazier dunks can be done on 9'9 than 10.

Probably the best looking dunks for me are usually guys who are about 6'4" to 6'7" and have long arms and big hands to palm the ball easily. Just all the stuff you're able to do and the amount of power you can put into the dunks seems to favor that size of dunker.

I was 5'6 when I started dunking, and Maxed out at 6'1 when I was still playing and dunking. To be able to dunk period, you are in the 99th percentile.. once you start breaking it down by height, there's no telling how rare it is.

It’s mostly training, these guys work hard! I’m 6’2’’ I can dunk aight, trained and gained about 6 inches of vertical over the years, slowing down now due to age but i had a good run lol no complaints
