Bucks is so right about tackling. Needs simplifying for adjudication, for the fans and for the players, as well as injury prevention will be improved. It's a win-win-win for everyone involved

Bucks is spot on with the Hawks. Last year we came in under the radar, but next year the opposition will be ready. Though i still think we'll end up at least in the top six.

⚠️ 📢 🚨 I actually agree with Tom Morris for once... crowds still shouts "ball" after every tackle. It's cooked

11:10 - "The stand-alones at the moment I just can't see how they can be in the same competition as the aligned teams...from an AFL competition."

I take his point, but has anyone told him who competed in the VFL Grand Final this season?

Bucks is spot on when it comes to contracts. Signing players for anymore than 5 years is ridiculous. Shorten it, make them accountable and go from there.

Their input is far more valuable then any one in the media who has not played at at the top level.

good luck with holding the ball...nobody will want to pick up the footy and opposition will just wait and tackle when they do and get a free kick. I understand it needs to be made a simple as possible for umpires but that just wouldnt work in the real world lol

The only issue with structuring AA around modern structures is it will change every time the game evolves. The traditional structure makes sense because it is still how teams are named on the team sheet.

I would remove the rule that says if the ball goes through the big sticks but touches the post, it’s a behind. If it goes through, it should be a goal. That will remove the need for reviews.

I would like to see a,
A 24 game season !!

Plus the Olympic Stadium 🏟️ in NSW should be used again !!
There were some huge crowds at the beginning!!
Would be a venue for finals etc !!

10:15 sorry bucks but these don't seem fully thought through. I can see the validity but needs more discussion.
My thoughts are create 2 way contracts to prop up lists.
All new rules need to make game play easier to explain to someone who has never seen the game before.
I have made a list of changes that I would be happy to share anytime.

Agree Bucks is spot on . Remember Collingwood teams smashing/ragdolling teams with tackles .

I would change the VFL fixture so that the reserves team ALWAYS plays after the AFL team.

Hence, no players not or barely playing all weekend if they are hold outs from the VFL as an emergency, or only playing 15 minutes as a sub. If they only play a tiny bit of a game in the AFL, they still have the opportunity to play VFL.

Also no VFL bye rounds.

I'm sorry to those who still love the old VFA, but it is dead now - it's been subsumed.

From the coach that got rid of Treloar...

So families are thrown interstate without regard to extended family support...

Players will put severance clauses into their contracts, just like coaches do...

Players thrown into systems that they aren't happy with means that they don't thrive, lots of Hogans Fremantle style...

Someone will go to the suppreme court with a restraint of trade lawsuit...

The vfl grand final was between 2 stand alone teams in Werribee and Southport. 14 afl aligned sides in the comp. Go figure

No one yells Ball anymore because Dees supporters stopped showing up to games. Thats all they do.
