OM-1 Camera. A quick guide to setting up Procapture.

Procapture is a wonderful feature of the OM-1 camera and one I am looking to use as often as possible. We go into th emenus and look at how to setup Procapture.

The Procapture features of the OM-1 have been perfectly implemented especially compared to other manufacturers. ProCap2 has been a real game-changer for my bird-in-flight photos. Thanks for making another great video.

Hi Mike,
Great videa as always. Do you use back button focus? I do and have focus turned off on shitter button half press. I have only just started playing around with pro capture, but so far i dont think it is working. I expected that using the bbf method was cause the pre caoture to start when hitting the focus button (since it is replacing the half press on the shutter). But I'm wondering if i still need to half press the shutter button whilst also pressing the bbf button to get it to work. I know it saya in the menu to half press the shutter but i assumed that was just because that's the traditional/common method used by most photographers and camera setting default.

It's a great feature and no other camera has it like that, But a general question with my OM-1 with static subjects it goes in and out of focus quite a bit (like it will be focused on an Egret and then it will focus on the background) do you have the same Mike?

Nice explanation.
I had a question on the pre-frames and when they get captured. Suppose my shutter speed is 1/2000th of a second. And number of pre-frames is set to 10. From the point I depress the shutter, do the 10 pre-frames get spread out over the one second preceding the shutter press? Else 10 frames may get done in just (1/2000)*10 and end up capturing super fast action but for just a brief 1/200th of a second before the exact time of pressing the shutter button
