OM System OM-1: Camera Settings for Wildlife Photography

In this video I go through my general camera settings & how I set up my OM System OM-1 for wildlife photography. As I stress during the video, you're best off cherry picking some of the things you think will work best for you - rather than blindly copying, as the most important thing is that you're comfortable with you're own set-up and you're able to learn how to quickly use everything you need.

If I have M-Mode with auto iso I can choose the aperture (usually open) and the shutter speed adapted to the subjekt, then the iso is as low as possible. And this means you react more quickly to changes in light.

I use my OM 1 underwater so I just use other people’s settings as a place to start. I do love my ONM 1

Noise reduction is only relevant to long exposure times where the sensor can heat up significantly.

Hi Marc I have only just discovered your channel and it is already near the top off the list i am following, . i have moved over from Cannon after more than 40 years of use . I have an OM1 and enjoy using it but have to work hard changing to a more logical system. I enjoy the fact you concentrate on helping those of us that received our latest camera days before it was updated. Most sites moved on the same day and forgot us, thank again for you excellent content and I will work my way through the Scotish Islands and compare the wildlife withwhat we enjoy here in Brittany.

Hello is it possible to program a button to switch in pro capture directly?

The OM system is fine until you come to Autofocus while following birds/tracking. Not a lot of keepers. If you are used to nothing better, then I suppose it seems fine. If you are used to Nikon, it is garbage.
