This series is a beginners guide to O level Additional Mathematics (Syllabus 4049) covering the key concepts for all the topics taught by my mascot, Axie the Axolotl. This guide is fully scripted and animated featuring the most creative, interesting or challenging questions in the past 10 years of O level A Math exams in the TYS.

I’ve always wanted to create this after I finished with my Sec 3 A Math video to close off this series because I felt that the Sec 3 and Sec 4 video could have been better since I missed a few things and made some mistakes. Overall I’m really happy with how this series ended and I hope we can all agree that 2020 P2 was the most difficult A Math paper in existence (unless 2024… don’t jinx it)

MISTAKES:
1) at 3:50, based on the a^3 - b^3 formula, it is supposed to be positive 6xy instead of -6xy
2) at 14:30, i forgot to divide the -2root3 term by 2 as well, so the final answer should be the same as what's stated in the question
3) at 20:05, 3pi should be factorized out instead to achieve the answer in (a), i wrote the wrong value

I seriously mean it when I say my discovery of your channel is the best thing to ever happen to me LOL, I just had my AMath and Chem Prelims this week your videos have helped so much! I struggled so hard w AMath (i was a single digit scorer…) but this time I actually understood what the questions were asking for !! Could you do a Biology video too? a way to memorise these cubic factorising formulae is the SOAP acronym -- taught in the AMath360 textbook.
SOAP: Same, Opposite, AlwaysPositive
it describes how in a³±b³ = (a±b)(a²∓ab+b²), the factorised form has:
the first sign with the SAME sign as the original a³±b³,
the second sign with the OPPOSITE sign as the original a³±b³,
and the last sign is ALWAYS a PLUS sign
