Yeah thats some scary stuff, one time a house in my neighborhood literally turned into a nuke and exploded. Everything in a 3 house radius was destroyed and my house had some minor damages thankfully

This reminds me a lot of a similar situation that happened a few years ago which I myself experienced. There was a gas leak in our utility room as well however it wasn’t as bad originally. What made it really dangerous was when my dad turned on a switch for a heater, which was right outside of the utility room. As expected it nearly immediately exploded and my dad was rushed to the hospital where he had to stay for a few weeks. It doesn’t end there though. After we evacuated and and my dad was taken by an ambulance one of the people who had come to try and handle the fire and gas now coming out of the utility room noticed that due to the explosion, the pipes above the room had collapsed which caused water to start rushing down the walls and ceiling. It put out the fire but also flooded the entire house. This basically means we lost everything in the house, had my dad in the ER, and were stuck outside on a cold dirt path out in the outskirts of town. Now we were lucky that my grandparents were planning on selling a house they owned and allowed us to move into it rent free and we’ve been here since then because we never got to go back to our old house. Thinking about the way all of this could have went had my dad not been protected by a singular wall sends shivers down my spine. That day I could have lost everything, but life blessed my family with survival.

Edit: As an answer to a few people in the replies wondering how my father is now, he is doing relatively fine. Due to the incident and the wall collapsing but still somewhat protecting him he’s doing a lot better than he could have been as he just suffers from a bit of back pain due to his back being what was mainly injured. At the moment he’s scheduled on pain medications and has to wear a back brace for a few more weeks and then they said he could start removing his brace every now and then to get his back back into motion. Side note: don’t give the UTTP bots attention all they want is attention so don’t give them it and I appreciate the support from you all.

My PE teacher had a fire burn his whole house down 2 days before Easter. ( he has two young kids btw) The day after it happened one of his friends had the get his kids new bikes and toys because everything was gone. On Easter I was helping with my church and I wasn’t expecting him to be there because he goes to a different church but I saw him there and he smelt like a campfire. Since then they have been living in his friend’s home and they still don’t know why it started. They think it was a gas leak. I’m glad Kreek is ok.

Gas leaks are so scary. My teacher's neighbour had one a few years ago (they lived in an apartment building), and if it wasn't for my teacher smelling the leak very early in the morning, the whole house woulda blown up, glad ur OK!!

We're all glad youre okay kreek, in 2018 a similar thing happened to me my bedroom and the utility room was next to each other, my mom and dad was looking at the furnace and they smelled gas around it but fortunately they hired someone to fix it..

I also had a dangerous gas leak yesterday. So basically, one of the gas pipes right outside my window, under the house was leaking, for about 5 months, I didn't really know about it, as my window couldn't open for some reason. Once the window problem was fixed, I went to sleep as normal, but with the window opened. When I woke up, I smelt something a bit weird. But brushed it off, and continued about my day. I was freezing in my room, and for some reason I just didn't choose to turn the heater on, which saved my life.
A few days went by, until I started to think about the smell. It was getting a bit bad. So, because I didn't know about gas leaks, I didn't recognize the smell and went outside to check. Turns out one of the pipes cracked and gas was leaking everywhere under and outside of the house. I immediately called the gas company and they told me to leave the house, and wait for one of them to come over. Then, a guy came and turned off the gas, he checked some stuff and told me that I was safe to enter the house again, but to not use the heater until someone came by and fixed it.

I could've died by turning on the heater, and the window is fixed at that time which allows me to smell the gas leak.

As someone who had multiple near death experiences it is very scary because you see your life flash before your eyes quite literally and just want the moment to end with you alive when it's over
